Tips

Our challenges are quite tough!  Consider these tips when you get in the game.

Team Size:  The more minds working together the better.  With that said, we plan our ‘maximum players’ to help ensure there aren’t too many cooks in the kitchen.

Check everything:  Explore everywhere, look around, under, inside.  Clues can be anywhere so be sure to be thorough.  Don’t be afraid to double check.

Talk it out:  Tell your team what you find; lock types, notes, clues, parts & pieces.  The more everyone knows the more likely you can connect what you find.

Share the load:  There’s lots to do, players can work on locating items while others work on a puzzle.  Try to avoid everyone becoming fixated on one task.

Avoid becoming fixated:  If a puzzle is leading you nowhere, you may just not have all the info yet.  Take a break and come back to it.  At the same time, don’t walk away too soon.

Try, try, again:  If a lock doesn’t open, try it again.  Get a team member to try.  Double check your solution.  It’s common that people input data incorrectly or are off by just a bit.

Swallow your pride:  We want you to escape.  If you feel stuck, ask for clues, we’re here to help.  If you want to do it all on your own, that’s fine too, but it feels great to escape!

Come back soon:  Teams always rock their second room.  If you can make it back to try another challenge while you’re still in the zone, your chance of escape is so much greater.
